I just installed a set of forward controls manufactured by Highway Hawk. They went on without any problems and required very little adjustment. Shifting is much easier and my legs are more comfortable. The only concern I have is I have lost quite a bit of rear brake stopping power. Before installing the forward controls I didn't have to exert a lot of pressure to slow down the kike using just the rear brakes, now it takes quite a bit of pressure and still doesn't do the job properly, I have to use the front brake all the time now. The bike is new with only 650 miles on it so the brake shoes are perfect. I thought it must be an adjustment but there is no adjustment that will correct this problem. The only comment I recived was from a "motorcycle mechanic" that said the problem results from too much linkage. My brain can't accept this as the reason for poor rear brake performance and thought I'd ask the true "experts" on this forum.
